Brief history of Copywriter

Copywriting has been around since the early days of advertising. The first known copywriter was a man named Claude Hopkins, who wrote copy for the advertising agency J. Walter Thompson in the early 1900s. He is credited with creating the concept of “scientific advertising”, which focused on using data and research to create effective copy.  Since then, copywriting has evolved to become an essential part of marketing and advertising.
